The Piling Rig Diesel Hammer is a development of the conventional Drop Hammer, but there are differences in the hammer used and the driving unit in the form of an excavator or crawler crane. The hammer used is a diesel hammer with a hammer falling mechanism (cylinder block) onto the piston which causes compression and explosion, resulting in a rebound in the hammer.
The rebound that occurs in the hammer makes the driving process more efficient because no energy is needed to pull the hammer manually using a sling (wire rope) like the driving process in a conventional Drop Hammer. This type of tool has advantages in terms of work efficiency, but the energy generated is still large thanks to the impact hammer system. The drawback is the same as a conventional Drop Hammer, namely the noise and vibration produced is quite large, so this tool is only suitable for applications with large areas of land and far from buildings / settlements.
